1 pound ground turkey or beef
2 scallions, chopped
1 (14 ounce) jar pizza sauce
1 (4 1/2 ounce) jar sliced mushrooms, rinsed and drained *optional
1 cup shredded mozzerella cheese
1/2 c. flour
1/2 c. milk
1 egg
Preheat oven to 425 degrees. In a deep 9" or 10" oven proof skillet cook beef and scallions over medium-high heat 'til meat is browned, 5-7 minutes. Drain fat. Stir in pizza sauce and mushrooms. Simmer 3 minutes.
Sprinkle 1/2 cup cheese over meat mixture. In a bowl whisk together flour, milk, and egg until well blended. Stir in remaining 1/2 cup cheese. Spread batter evenly over meat mixture and cheese.
Bake 20 minutes or 'til light golden in color. Cut into wedges and serve.
