Breadsticks {Kristen Larsen Jones}

 


INGREDIENTS

1 tablespoon yeast dissolved in 1 1/2 cups warm water

2 tablespoons sugar

1/2 teaspoon salt

3 1/4 - 4 cups flour


DIRECTIONS 

Mix together all the above, dough will be sticky. 

Let rest 10 minutes. 

While dough rests, melt 1 cube butter on jelly roll pan in 375 degree Fahrenheit oven. 

Turn dough out onto floured surface and roll into rectangle about 12x15. Lightly sprinkle with garlic salt and grated Parmesan cheese. 

Fold dough lengthwise and cut into horizontal strips with pizza cutter. 

Remove pan with melted butter from oven.

 Dip each strip into melted butter on pan. Give a gentle stretch, twist, placing on pan. 

 Generously sprinkle with garlic salt, grated, and shredded Parmesan cheese. 

 Let raise 10 minutes or until double. 

 Bake at 375 degrees Fahrenheit for 15-20 minutes. 

*These can be made early in the day, covered with foil, and refrigerated until about an hour before dinner. Bring to room temperature, then bake as directed.
