1 tbsp. yeast dissolved in 1 1/2 c. warm water
2 tbsp. sugar
1/2 tsp. salt
3 1/4 - 4 c. flour
DIRECTIONS Mix together - dough will be sticky. Knead on well-floured surface 3 minutes. Let rest 10 minutes.
Melt 1 cube of butter on jelly roll pan in oven.
Roll dough out into rectangle and rub with butter, lightly sprinkling with garlic salt and grated Parmesan cheese.
Fold dough lengthwise and cut into horizontal strips with pizza cutter.
Dip each strip into melted butter on pan, twist, and place on pan.
Generously sprinkle with garlic salt, grated and shredded Parmesan cheese.
Let raise 10 minutes or until double.
Bake at 375 degrees for 15-20 minutes.
*These can be made early in the day, covered with foil, and refrigerated until about an hour before dinner. Bring to room temperature, then bake as directed.
