Fettucini Verde

12 ounce fresh fettuccine or 8 ounces dry
6 tablespoons butter
1/2 cup sliced green onion or chives and or fresh basil
2 cloves garlic minced or pressed
salt & pepper
2 cups half and half
1 1/2 cups Parmesan cheese

Cook noodles in large kettle of boiling, salted, water 'til al dante; drain.

While noodles are cooking, melt butter on medium high heat. Saute green onion and pressed garlic with salt and pepper to taste. Add half & half. When shiny bubbles form add Parmesan cheese with wire whisk. Once combined, place cooked chicken in sauce to keep warm.

Combine noodles with sauce and chicken. Sprinkle with grated Parmesan cheese and a dash of nutmeg.
