Apple Crisp

Fall is in the air, as the smell of cinnamon wafted through my kitchen, I inhaled deeply and said goodbye to summer.

 

Thinly slice 6-7 peeled apples into an ungreased 9x13 baking dish.


 



TOPPING

1 cup sugar

1 cup chilled butter

3 teaspoons cinnamon

1 cup whole wheat flour

1 cup oats

2 cups nuts (optional)

Do not over mix. You want the butter to stay chunky so the consistency of the topping is crumbly. 


 



Sprinkle topping over sliced apples and bake at 350 degrees Fahrenheit for 45 minutes. Delish!
